Obituary and Services
Mommy,
You were born on March 21, 1951, to John and Christabell Mitchell. You were one of sixteen children, fondly remembered for your bashful and gentle nature as a child.
At the age of 19, you became a mother with the birth of your son, Reginald Lincoln. Motherhood gave you a new sense of purpose and became one of the greatest joys of your life. Thirteen years later, you welcomed me.
Mommy you were a proud and devoted mother who would do anything for your children. Some may have called you overprotective, but you would simply say, I'm protecting my children from a cruel world. Your love was strong, unwavering, and deeply rooted in your desire to keep us safe.
You attended Trident Technical College, where you became certified as a hospital ward clerk. Throughout your life, you enjoyed traveling, meaningful conversations, genuine laughter, and, most of all, the love you shared with your children and grandchildren.
Lossing you has been difficult, but through my grief, I have found peace in knowing that the struggles you faced in this life are no more.
Mom, I will forever love you, forever miss you, and forever carry you in my heart. As much as I loved you, God loved you more.
Today, I can finally find comfort knowing that you have found peace. And now that you are at peace, Mom, so can I.
